Role Models (School Days, Weekend Fun)
Let’s Go ( Grammar Points / Language Functions)
-talking about possessions and things inside a classroom
-using past continuous
-using possessive pronouns
-Answering with short sentences
-Expressing emotions
-Describing people and things using reported speech
Listening
-Listening to, view and respond to spoken, audio texts e.g. personal recounts, movie (cartoons, interviews, etc)
-Focus: descriptive and narrative resources
Speaking
- Using language to produce spontaneous and planned spoken texts
-role play based on reading
Reading
- noting details and having discussions based on stories, poetry, narratives, and descriptive accounts of role models
-  asking questions about the text
- retelling story in own words
- identifying audience
- Focus: cultural differences
-ORT: The Kidnappers / Super dog

Grammar and Writing
- doing reader response activities  (i.e. book, movie, and film reports)
- Focus: Descriptive and narrative writing about role models
- sentence mapping
Main student output
- role play of role model
- character study of a role model
- debate between different types of role models
-  project (based on music, movie, or book report)
